For almost 50 years, we have helped businesses and organisations throughout Ireland protect their people, premises and livelihoods. Our business has grown considerably over the years, but our values remain the same: dependable service, honest advice and genuine care for every customer.

Where Our Story Began

Browne Fire And Security was founded by Larry Browne and his wife, Jenny. Having built his experience within a national fire-protection company, Larry decided to establish a business of his own. Through hard work, technical knowledge and a strong commitment to his customers, Larry built a trusted company with relationships that have continued across generations.

Aidan’s Legacy

In 2002, Larry’s son Aidan left a successful career in the technology sector to join the family business. He brought fresh ideas, energy and innovation, helping to modernise the company and significantly expand its customer base. Aidan took the helm in 2010. He was an exceptional businessman, but more importantly, he was a much-loved husband, father, son, colleague and friend.

In May 2018, Aidan tragically lost his life in a road accident. His loss was immeasurable, both personally and professionally. For a time, it was difficult to imagine the business continuing without him. His influence, values and vision remain deeply woven into Browne Fire And Security today.

Continuing the Journey

Following Aidan’s death, his wife, Aedín Hassett, took responsibility for leading the company while raising their three children. It was an extraordinarily difficult journey, but under Aedín’s leadership Browne Fire & Security has not only continued—it has grown and evolved.

Aedín expanded the team, introduced new services and developed the company from a traditional owner-operated business into a growing nationwide fire and security provider. Today, our skilled team and fleet of service vehicles support customers across Ireland.
